The still sea above; the endless blue, the canvass of my silken dreams
Of choicest flowers I breathe in the incense deep, an' sip sweet waters of happy streams
Rainbow, rosy, sun gold streaks; the painted prism of twilight sky
I breathe beauty in every whiff, as the star-wrought walls of heaven, I surpass by
Winter ails my silver throat, yet I stop not to sing of spring on earth
I flutter in glee in the fanning breeze; joy beyond winged riches a thousand worth
Sunset apples, mellow moon pears glistening in the distant wilderness
I taste the sweetest of sun-burnt dates; I teach each garden to brightly flouresce
For the crown of the sleepy mountain high, I splash the joy of my emerald tail
An' each little bud ere opens her eyes, I leave feathery touches of faerie trail
My life's a star's twinkle, though fantastic adventures like its existence long
Man! Now I turn to thee. Ye feed upon my dreams an' hope anew through the prayers of my morning song
I show ye the skies, snow-capped soaring heights;an' cotton candy clouds where thou can build a castle in
But what is then that defines thyself, when thou gift me the diamond cage; I fear to sulk forever in?
Each time the song of freedom I begin
Each time my freedom thou harbor to taket in???!!!
